Characteristic
It is a white, granular or crystalline solid, highly soluble in water producing an alkaline solution. The solubility is 1.62g/100ml. And melting point is73.4°CThe item of commerce is often partially hydrated and may range from anhydrous trisodium phosphate, to the dodecahydrate, Na3PO4·12H2O. Most often found in white powder form, it can also be called trisodium orthophosphate or just plain sodium phosphate.
Application
Industrial use
Trisodium Phosphate is used as soft water agent, cleaning agent in electroplating, color fixer in fabric dyeing and flux in enamel ware manufacturing, and so on. So Trisodium Phosphate is a good cleaner or liquid detergent. MDS can substitute for trisodium phosphate.
Food grade use
Food for quality improver, emulsifier, nutrition supplements.
